The United Nations, in its resolution on March 15, 2022, designated March 15th as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia. The 55-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) sponsored the resolution.

The March 15th Forum, named after the UN resolution, has been established to utilize International Day to Combat Islamophobia effectively. In a joint statement, the Muslim organizations call on governments to take actions to combat Islamophobia and call on governments in Muslim-majority nations to support and defend Muslims who experience Islamophobia in other countries, even if that means challenging the actions of economic partners and so-called allies.

The largest Muslim civil rights organization in the United States, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Muslim American Society (MAS) and Muslim organizations from Canada and Europe are participating and endorsing a high-visible event organized by The March 15th – Combat Islamophobia. The convention event is being held in the USA on March 18th Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri. For details, visit www.TheMarch15.Org

The March 15th – Combat Islamophobia has developed a program to hold businesses accountable for their Islamophobia. The program challenges companies to identify as either with or against Muslims. The forum has invited businesses, several from the USA. Many of the companies that have been invited have supported anti-Muslim agendas. These businesses can either organize their own high-visibility event or support a high-visible event organized by The March 15th -Combat Islamophobia.

The forum has also created a solidarity registry to compile the invitees’ responses to the call to combat Islamophobia as a public record. Those who do not attend the combat Islamophobia event may be perceived as against Muslims. The data collected will be used to increase awareness about Islamophobia and presented to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the United Nations, and other national, regional, and international organizations.
